For four years, from 2008 to 2011, Design Camp ran a summer programme of creative design & technology workshops for school pupils living (mainly) in West and North-west London.
It brought together professional designers, graduate students from the Royal College of Art, teachers of Design & Technology, and Year 8, 9 & 10 pupils in a range of hands-on designing and making activities. It was lots of fun and you can see some of our photos and even a video on this site by clicking the links above.
Sadly however, due to the cutbacks in Local Authority funding, we had to cancel Design Camp 2012.
But do not be dismayed! The DC team is still alive and well, and working on setting up Design Shed, a more permanent base with more reliable funding. And once we've got that sorted, Design Camp WILL RUN AGAIN!
